The Whispered World Walkthrough


Chapter One – The Autumn Forest

Look at the torn note on the wall, above the bed. It is about the human cannonball stunt. While looking the note, look at: Sadwick’s figure (“me”), the cannon, the plug, the bomb and the parachute. Exit the note view. Look at the bear head on the floor and use it. Pick up the key. Look at the drawer, between the door and the bed. Open the drawer and look inside. You collect a note. Open the door and go out (the exit arrow shows up once you scroll your mouse over the door’s window).

Pick up spot and use him on the large bucket, to the right of Ben. Now you have Spot and you can select his form from the upper right corner of the screen. Pick up the shovel from the bushes, to the left of Sadwick’s trailer. Enter Sadwick’s trailer and look at the stove to the right. Also, look at the hole on top of the stove. Set Spot into his default, thin, form and use him on the stove’s hole. The stove opens and you can pick up the casket from within. In the inventory, combine the key with the casket to get a map. Exit the trailer.

Try to take the exit to the left, into the forest. Sadwick cannot find his way. Talk to Ben about everything and ask him “Why am I always getting lost?” You need a map and a compass. You already have the map. Talk to Grandpa and choose “I want to take a look around the Autumn Forest… but I keep getting lost”. He gives you his compass. Open the door to grandpa’s trailer and enter.

Take the hairnet hanging on the wall to the left. Close the door and take the cork from the edge of the bed. Take the dentures and the handkerchief from the bedside table. Open the door and exit the trailer.

Enter the forest through the exit to the very left of the screen. Go to the Shore. Talk to the messenger about everything. He wants you to catch a fish for him.  Pick up the branch from the ground, in front of the messenger (or press spacebar to see where it is exactly). In the inventory, combine the branch with the hairnet to get a dip net. Use the dip net on the lake to catch a fish. Give the fish to the messenger. He tells you about his mission. Now you also have a fishbone in your inventory, automatically. Leave the area and go to the ruins.

Ruins

Look at the statue to the left and scroll your mouse on the statue’s forehead to find the moss hotspot. Use the handkerchief on the moss. Exit the area and return to the shore.

Shore

Talk to the messenger about the ruins. He gives you the whispering stone. Exit and return to the ruins.

Ruins

Go to the statue and use the whispering stone on the hole of the statue’s forehead. Exit and return to the shore.

Shore

Pick up the knife from the ground, below Spot. Also, pick up the bombs from the ground, by the stone where the messenger was sitting. Exit and go to the ruins.

Ruins

Go to the bush, to the right of the statue, and use the knife on the bush. Walk through the new path. Talk to the rock brothers. To prove that you are not a greenhorn, the right answers are:

-          Shana is a mystical snake creature.

-          Eleven.

-          In the middle of the lake.

The brothers give you their stone powder. Look at the door and open it, but do not take the upper exit. Go to around the door (as if you want to exit, instead of enter) until an arrow pointing downwards appears. Take the exit that points down.  

Look at the clock. Use the fishbone on the clock face. Exit the cabin. Talk to the rock brothers about Shana’s cabin. She appears at half past noon. Reenter Shana’s cabin. Look at the clock and set the hour hand at XII (i.e. 12) and the minute hand at VI (i.e. 6). Then press the button in the middle of the clock. A beam of light points at a note on the bookcase.

Look at the note and try to take it. ‘Do a sleeping giant a favour’. Look at Ben’s note in your inventory. You see that you have to wash Bruno at 12:15. Bruno is a ‘giant’. Look at the clock again and set the minute hand at III (i.e. 3).  Press the button in the middle of the clock.

Another beam of light appears and you have to read another note. This one reads: “The colors come back into the world”. Look at Ben’s note again and notice that you have to watch the sunrise at 5.30. Look at the clock again and set the hour hand at V (i.e. 5) and the minute hand at VI (i.e. 6). Press the button in the middle. Shana appears. Talk to her about everything and exit.

Once you reach the bridge, look at the shadow newt by the statue. Pick up the turtles to the right and left of the statue.

Circus

Enter Sadwick’s trailer. Pick up the hat from the floor, under the drawer. Exit. Go to the Tree.

Tree

Try to pick up the lightning bugs, to the left of the tree. They disappear into the tree and come out again. Use the cork on the tree’s hole, in the middle. Try to pick up the bugs again. Now they go under the stone to the right. Push the stone and use the shovel on the bleak spot on the ground. Enter the opening.

Walk to the left and look at the puddle. Go up and look at the lake and the island. Go down and exit the tree. Go to the circus.

Circus

Talk to Ben about the earthquake and ask him if he expects you to believe that he’s never scared. Choose the following:

-          Not even of the Asgil?

-          The Asgil are terrifying creatures with sharp claws.

-          They have two heads.

-          Even worse are their sharp teeth.

Exit to the forest and go to the cave.

Cave

Walk to the totem’s bowl at the middle-bottom of the screen. Set Spot in ‘large’ form and place him on the bowl. Now you have the bowl. Exit and go to the tree.

Tree

Notice the resin on the tree, to its right and back. Use the bowl on the resin to get a bowl full of resin. Go to the circus.

Circus

In the inventory, combine a turtle with the bowl full of resin and then combine the other turtle with the sticky turtle to get sticky turtles. Combine the sticky turtles with the dentures to get a dentured turtle. Enter Sadwick’s trailer and pick up the bear’s claw from its left paw. In the inventory, combine the claw with the dentured turtle to get a two-headed monster. Exit the trailer.

Notice the pantaloons hanging on the clothesline, between the two trailers. Use the two-headed monster on Ben and pick up those pantaloons as quickly as possible. Also, pick up the red ball that he dropped, from the ground in front of him. Exit and go to the ruins.

Ruins

Walk to the shadow newt and give him the ball. Pick up the Noahi-egg. Return to the circus.

Circus

Go to the right and place the Noahi-egg into the trap, in front of Bruno. Select Spot in his default form and use him on the fire dragons. Now Spot can be on fire whenever you wish him to. Exit to the forest and go to the cave.

Cave

Take the path to the north, to reach the cave’s entrance. Set Spot on fire form and use him on the spider web. Enter the cave. Set Spot in his round form and use him on the eyes. Pick up the rope from the ground, to the left of the skull. Exit and go to the circus.

Circus

Enter grandpa’s trailer and use the rope on the cauldron to get a fuse cord. In the inventory, combine the fuse cord with the bombs. Also, combine the pointy hat with the stone powder to get a petrified hat. Exit to the forest and go to the tree.

Tree

Enter the hole in the ground and walk to the puddle to the left. Use the bombs on the puddle. Use Spot’s fire form and use him on the bombs. Climb up and use the petrified hat on the tree’s hole. Use the petrified hat to sit on it.
